FASHION | The Breton

zara breton top
Top: Zara

I have a bit of a basic wardrobe full of staples...I personally don't feel I need tonnes of clothes for my blog and I don't think that anyone should feel that way. However sometimes I need to do a bit of wardrobe planning to get myself out of my jeans every now and then because I know I definitely get myself stuck in a rut sometimes. So here's a few outfits based around my favourite, the breton top. I've chosen my trusty black and white one here but what's good about these looks is I can mix it up with my other colours too, so that's a few less outfit worries for me eh?

LOOK ONE

zara breton top, vintage leather skirt, primark black ballet pumps
Skirt: Vintage Shoes: Primark Lipstick: Revlon

This Winter I vow to wear skirts more often! Sadly this amazing vintage bargain (£25!) no longer fits and I seriously regret not wearing it more often now. I can't bring myself to get rid but I've ordered another of off Ebay and I'm hoping it's ok because leather skirts are kinda perfect for colder months, no?

LOOK 2

zara breton top, zara leather jacket, monki diana jeans, river island cut out boots black, black mulberry del rey
Jacket: Zara Jeans: Monki Boots: River Island Bag: Mulberry

Umm ok, I know I said I wanted to stop sticking to jeans but sometimes you just have no other option right? Plus there's something I just love about a biker and a breton paired together.

LOOK THREE

zara breton top, zara black dungarees, asos sonic heels black
Dungaree: Zara Shoes: ASOS Lippy: Revlon

Another thing I want to do is wear my dungees more often! The only reason I don't is pure laziness because I have to belt them up and things, which tells you how lazy I am when it comes to getting dressed! They will probably die out a bit but to me dungarees are a lot more classic then you think...it all depends on how you wear them and besides, if you like them then who cares?  This is my perfect night out look.

What's your favourite outift? Feel free to give me some ideas because I'm sure you're probably sick to death of me wearing the same old outfits on here haha. For more breton inspiration check out this tumblr.

  1. I love them all! I am the same with dungarees though! I have a pair and have only worn them twice because it's SO much effort! How bad is that?! Haha! xxx

  13. I LOVE this. And I mean it. I desperately need a pleather jacket, my old ones are too big for me now and I love how you styled this tee shirt with that.. striped shirts are the heart of my wardrobe and I must admit I decided to copy your first look for my date tonight! I'll probably tweet you the whole adapted outfit once I put it together
