Hi! How are you? Had a bit of a break from the internet because I was having these really bad migraines and the couple of times I did go on it I was finding so much of it all to be so negative. Loads of nastiness all over Facebook and then Twitter, especially in the blogging world. We don't all have to love everyone's blog and the people behind them but it's kind of unnecessary to bitch slyly about them on Twitter. I know that I'm happier concentrating on things and people I do like rather than those I don't, feeling all that hate for people you don't even really know is a complete waste of energy I think. But if they are so unhappy with their own lives that they feel the need to put down strangers over the internet then I wish they'd keep it to that evil forum instead of spreading all that negativity all over my timeline. Not that I even have to worry about that now because they've all been deleted...which is a shame, because I actually really liked their blogs.

I know I went off on a bit of a rant but if there's one thing that really ticks me off it's lack of sisterhood! Thankfully there's still plenty of it in the blogging world the majority of the time, I'm happy that most people are so lovely and supportive. As it should be! We have enough horridness in the real world right?

  3. Agree with everything you wrote. So much ugliness IRL already, we don't really need anymore of that online:(
Anyhoo, love the mix of the pink with the stripes:)

On a different note, you look fab and I love that pink coat! x

  5. You're right, it's nice to get away from bad/bitchy situations for a few days (whether it's in real life or over the internet) that fill you up with negativity! Hopefully your migraines get better :)
Love your outfit- the coat is so dreamy, I love it with the stripes and leather, ugh perfect! xx

  10. I definitely agree! A lot of people in the blogging world seem very supportive though, hopefully they are the majority! Loove your coat by the way, it's not online is it?! :/

  11. I need this outfit !!! The gorgeous pink coat with two classic pieces- leather skirt and a breton. So chic.

And yes, you tell'em Josie. The blogging sisterhood needs to stick together, not spend time bitching about HTML! I guess every 'group' is going to have negative people who just feel the need to chip away at other people's success but at the end of the day if you truly love blogging, popularity should be a bonus not the aim! Just my two cents anyway, but thanks for raising the point J :)

  14. Hi J, taking a break is a good idea, I have also found that the screen elevates migraines, hope they have subsided. This is the perfect way to wear your elegant pink coat, love the black and white styling. I had no idea that people where doing this on Twitter, think it maybe stems from jealousy?

  18. Eeep, I think I missed all the blogging dramz thankfully! Unfortunately there are bad eggs out there and haters gon' hate, potatoes gon' potate.

  21. Totally with you on your rant Josie, sometimes it feels like high school all over again. I hate it when I see things kicking off over Facebook, and I hate that some people can't help themselves but to make it public. If people have these sorts of feelings towards other people I think it's best to just keep it to themselves - if you've not got anything nice to say don't say it?! On a more positive note, you look gorgeous!! You have a way of pairing things up that I am so envious of. I love your little pinkie ring too!! xxx

  22. Further to our chat on Twitter the other night, I too have deleted any bloggers that have proved to be bitchy and out of order on Twitter. It's a shame to step away from blogs you like, but at the same time if the person behind the blog is a moany, ungrateful, up themselves diva, then the blog itself loses all merit. I really hope other bloggers are starting to see this too. Bullying and trolling are no way acceptable. x x

  23. I totally agree, it has got really bitchy lately and I've only just found out about that forum, it's really sad that people are putting so much effort into being nasty about people :\ I really don't get it!
Reaaaaally love your outfit! The coat is gorgeous and so is the skirt! I ordered a bag and a jacket/coat yesterday and now I've got the waiting game...I'm SOOO impatient!! xx

  26. Totally agree with your rant, I cannot stand people who are so nasty & bitchy about others, there's just no need for it! If you don't like their blogs .etc don't read them, simple! I have to admit, I haven't seen much nastiness in the fashion blogging community so far, just the odd few people, the rest seem to be very supportive & lovely, which is awesome :) What is this forum you speak of anyway? I'm kind of curious, I never knew such a thing existed...
On a happier note though, I just love this coat on you & especially with the stripes/leather, it's such a nice contrast! You're even kind of making me want a pink coat... eek! :O

  29. It's such a shame when people have a bitch and there's no need for it, if you don't like something then don't read it! Love the outfit :) xx

  30. I won't asked and obviously it's none of my business but that sucks man, what the hecks been going on? Sounds like a rough situation but you did the best thing by the sounds of it. People are idiots, you don't need them in your life. That coat looks very 60s, like it.
