LIFESTYLE | Little Things #4

Earlier in the week I was sent this sweet bracelet watch from Born Pretty, I love it because it reminds me of those Liberty print ones that were doing the rounds a while back and the fact that you tie it on means it won't slip off my skeleton wrists. They have loads of unique styles, from LEDs to wrist watches at super cheap prices and you can get yourself 10% off if you use the code JOSIE10.

I realise I didn't update you on Freddy! He went to that specialist place for his ear and it turns out he has a simple yeast infection (massively common in doggies) which is also on his paws as well as a different infection so he's on tablets and ear drops. It's something that my vet should have picked up, I'm really annoyed that they didn't because it meant Freddy's suffering went on for longer. The vets probably get some kind of commission to send him to the private place, hate how they're so money grabbing when it should be about the animals. The specialist place want him to have a CT scan but it's unnecessary, I'm not putting him through it just because they want to earn more money...poor puppy's been through enough! As you can see, he's much better and happier and fresher (check out his haircut...he nearly disappears in my room he's so white!) and I'm so pleased because it was the worst thing seeing him in pain.

Here's a little duo I've been loving using in the morning. Firstly the L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 In 1 Purifying Micellar Solution (whoo, what a mouthful) that I picked up on a whim because it was dirt cheap. It's great at removing make up but I haven't been wearing it much so I use it as my morning cleanser because it's so refreshing and quick and really wakes me up. The second is the Ren Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream which came in a little set with last months InStyle mag. Perfect for the day time because it isn't greasy yet still does a fab job of moisturising, even when the weather is this cold. I'm panicking because this little sample is running out, I'm considering buying the full size which is a big deal for me seeing as I'm incredibly tight when it comes to skincare but I do really rate it. We shall see if I can actually part with the cash haha!

Finally I was lucky, lucky, lucky to win Hannah of tea.three.sugars 150 follower giveaway! It's a notebook and an illustration of a much cuter me (based on this outfit)...isn't it so lovely? I'm chuffed to bits, I've never been given anything like this before and it's a really special thing to own. I really want to get a frame for the print and I think the notebook might become a blogging book...there's no better incentive to get organised than having a lovely book to write in! Thank you again Hannah, make sure you all check out her beautiful blog to see more of her artwork and loads of gorgeous lifestyley posts!

  2. Oh thank you so much lovely lady! I'm so glad you like your prize, it was wonderful to draw someone so beautiful and stylish! Your watch bracelet is so pretty, it reminds me of Liberty too. Every year I have this 'do I want an expensive watch' dilemma, I fell in love with a Kate Spade one but I have to say to myself am I really going to wear a watch enough to justify these prices (the answer is sadly not right now!). I'm on my third bottle of the L'Oreal Micellar solution, I agree it is great for mornings! I use it after I've washed my make-up off in the evenings, but it does work great at getting make-up off too I'm just lazy and take the face wipe route!! I'm so so glad to hear Freddy is okay (touch wood) :) bless him, he looks so cute with his fresh haircut. It makes me so sad that these days healthcare mostly is about the money, not animals or people's well-being xxx
