Coat - Zara | Dress - Topshop | Shoes - New Look | Weird Pose - MINE

This is the exact outfit I wore to my aunt's 40th do, I don't dress up too much for parties because I just feel  silly. I wore flats because I'm not into chunky heels right now but the spindly ones I like are impossible to walk in for a klutz like me! But I think flats feel a bit more modern right now anyway. I got the dress in Topshop a little while back, I don't shop there often because I think the quality isn't all that for the prices they charge but this is lovely and was only £40. The material is really thick (hate flimsy dresses!) and I love the patent bit at the top that makes up for the fact that patent skirts look so hookerish on me (gutted because I love how they look with fluffy knits!) The only thing I don't like is the half zip at the back because it's a little bulky but other than that I love it.

Anyway I think the tablets worked because I'm feeling loads better now so no IVs, woohoo! So I've been able to go back to work and get started on my Christmas shopping, I'm so excited because this year I'm gonna put in a little tree in my room! I know I'm sad but I can't wait haha. I've already hung a snowflake garland up, some people think it's early but Oxford St put the lights up already so I say I'm behind! What about you, do you like to start the Christmas cheer early as well?

  1. So glad to hear you're feeling a lot better now, yayy! Loving your coat, so pretty! I love Christmas, I've managed to hold back and not put up any decorations just yet, I think I'll wait for the 1st and after my essay of doom is finally written and finished so I can concentrate on the Christmas amazingness properly!

  7. What a beautiful dress Josie, you look show stopping! I'm not much of a fan for dressing up too much either but I think you've certainly struck the right balance with this outfit! The snowflake garland sounds cute. Usually we have a tree up quite late but I'm looking forward to going to a xmas market soon.

Glad to hear you are feeling better, that's great news! <3

  15. Love this dress on you Josie, the style suits you so well. Can't beat a nice shiny piece of clothing at this time of year - I was so tempted by (but promptly forgot about) a sequin covered t-shirt on Ebay yesterday! I'm glad you're feeling better lovely, that's great news! I've almost finished my Christmas shopping, but haven't started decorating yet. At my mum's, it's our tradition that the Christmas tree goes up every year on 1st December (my birthday!). Since my dad passed away, me and my mum and my littlest sister have kind of shared the job - I love doing it it makes me feel so festive :) xxx
