FASHION | Blackout

Jacket - Zara | Shirt - Uniqlo | Jumper - GAP | Jeans - Topshop | Shoes - New Look

Uh-oh, sorry about the dark and grainy photos! My brain was too fuzzy to edit anything properly though, soweeee! Not that this outfit would look much different if things were clearer seeing as it's all black. Talking of all black things, there was a power cut on Saturday night for about 10 minutes and I was afraaaaaid. So I did the only thing that could make it all better and made a Topshop order because clearly I needed a distraction from all the darkness. Plus I had a discount code and it was free delivery and I don't feel well and I was feeling lonely so I can be excused for spending money. Isn't it a horrid thing when you just get paid and yet you're still pretty broke and you won't get paid again til January? :(

Did you watch Warrior last night? Do you know I think it's the film in which Tom Hardy looks best and that's saying somethin'. He should have totes won the fight though, he was well more beefed up! And I bet he would have split the prize money between his brother and his mate's widow because my Tom Hardy is just perfect and lovely like that. I also watched Harry Potter on Saturday, the first film always brings back wonderful memories for me. Through the hospital I got to go to a preview of it with my friend and my mum just before it was released everywhere else and that guy from Newsround was introducing it, I think his name was Lizo? I didn't and still don't give much of a hoot about the Harry Potter films and books but they gave us a goody bag that had a bottle of Coca-Cola in it, something that I'd never had before because we were only allowed diet fizzy stuff. Because it was a special day out my mum let me have it and now when The Philosopher's Stone is on TV it was always brings me back to that wonderful moment when I had my first taste of my very favourite drink <3

What's your favourite Harry Potter memory?

  1. Haha Josie, I love that you made a blackout purchase and the best part about watching a HP preview was the cola! ;) I love the HP films, I remember thinking the books were babyish growing up and only started getting into it when the third book came out. My fave memory was going on holiday to.Miami when I was 21 and the latest book at the time had been released! We caught a bus to a far away mall & I read it cover to cover. My pal was moaning at me because she wanted to party but I was in the HP zone! It was emosh.

  2. I love this outfit, the collar details and your leather jacket! <3 I'm actually not a fan of the HP movies but I'd love to re-read the books sometime, haven't done so since I was in primary school :)

Can't say I'm a fan of HP (read the first two books then I lost interest for some reason) but I love your memories- I remember Lizo off Newsround haha, I used to watch it all the time back in the day!

  7. Aaaaaah....HP always brings back fond memories, but for me, it's more the books than the movies, I think.
And I agree...nothing makes me feel better in a blackout than online shopping....heehee

  20. What I love most about your style is that you always totally nail the classics: the buttoned up shirt, jumper, jeans and loafers for example- executed perfectly here! Feeling your empty bank account pain too...still didn't stop me putting in a cheeky little Asos order. We truly are slaves to online shopping hahah! xxx

  24. Ah Josie your HP and coca cola memory is so cute!!! Haha :) I'm a bit of a Harry Potter fanatic, I fell in love with the books (but I always have been a big bookworm, ever since I was little). I wish I could wear red lipstick like you do! I feel so conspicuous when I wear any kind of lipstick haha really must put it on my list of things to try out more next year. I know the feeling of being poor, all my money has gone on presents and I'm sooo poor. I love Christmas but I can't wait to not be poor again in January :) xxx
