Ahhhhh, these jeans! I've wanted some patchwork denim for a few years now, it was this picture of Jane Birkin that started off the whole thing and then Chloé sent this look down the catwalk and I was a woman on a mission. After three years of searching (yep, serious business!) I found these on the H&M website...I predict we will have many happy times together. I've seen loads of bad reviews about H&M's online service but apart from these taking about a week to be delivered I have no complaints. I had to return the first pair by post as they were way too tiny so I had to exchange for a pair that were two sizes bigger than my usual (that still only just fit, the sizing is crazy!) and there were no problems at all. I actually managed to bag these for the bargain sum of £14 as I had a fiver off thing plus 25% off so I'm extra happy! Someone told me that these make me look like a child tramp in a panto but I love them, they even make me feel a little like Jane (I know, I'm laughing at me too!)
I needed a bit of cheering up actually, been feeling a little down in the dumps. I went to clinic to get some tablets (hopefully they'll work so I won't need IVs during Christmas!) and my weight has gone back to the crappy weight I was when I was ill. My lung function is now also rubbish, it was only 35% (usually when people's LF goes down to about 30% permanently they start talking about lung transplants.) Luckily my LF isn't permanently that low, it's usually at least 10% higher but that tells you how breathless I am right now! I do so much medicine a physio everyday, like I've been doing since I was two years old, but there's not much I can do if I catch a bug I'm gonna get ill...and I catch literally everything that goes about this time of year so I'm basically unwell all winter. Obvs I carry on doing all the meds and that but it's just a bit frustrating that after all the hard work I do (it's like a full time job that you never get a break from!) I just end up back at square one. CF is such a scrooge, does it not know it's the most wonderul time of the year? I guess things could be worse, they'll get better when my mum comes home from holiday later today because ma's hugs make everything better, right?

I always struggle to find h&m trousers that fit me properly, they just always seem to fit funny... too baggy on the legs and tight on the waist or tight on the legs and too big on the waist, they must just make them funny! Hope your feeling better and that Christmas will soon have you all cheered up :) xx
ReplyDeleteThose jeans are amazing, you definitely pull them off!

I love your new header and photo Josie, you're so gorgeous. I'm sorry to hear your lung function is down, I hope it picks back up again soon. I hope you're keeping very well wrapped up with all your tights and thermals and staying out of the cold as much as possible! And away from anyone with nasty germs!! If I were you I'd probably use it as a good excuse to hibernate indoors with blankets all Winter :) I hope your mum's hugs made you feel a bit better! Can't beat time with your mumma for a lift. I'm going to say it again... you can pull anything off Josie! I don't see poor child in panto just a very stylish lady! xxx
