LIFESTYLE | Little Things

Last week was another challenging one but by the weekend I was feeling a lot more positive about things. I have some decisions to make because of annoying CF problems but it's not the first time I've had to adjust my life around it so I'm sure I'll be able to sort something out! We shall see. But despite all the not so good stuff there's been some lovely moments also!

q & a a day journal

I managed to make quite a bit of money on my Etsy store so I ordered myself this Q & A a Day: 5-Year Journal. It was a total unnecessary purchase but a fun one! Some of the questions can be a bit deep and random though, it can put me on the spot haha! I hope I actually manage to keep it up.

We went to where my brother and his girlfriend live for dinner, we ate at a Turkish place and it was delish! I had dolma for starters which are pine nuts and rice wrapped in vine leaves, I've never had it before and it was a bit unusual...quite perfumey, but so nice! For my main I had tuvak shish which is my favourite and then a funky pie for dessert which is a hazelnut, almond, caramel and ice cream pudding. Safe to say I was stuffed!

I was so lucky to win this super cute Blue Raspberry pug scarf on the Lily loves Lola giveaway!

Lisa Eldridge tweeted me and I almost wet myself in excitement because I'm seriously uncool. Her tutorials are one of the only ones I watch so I was super chuffed. What a lovely lady!

Blue jeans, white shirt combos make me very happy indeed. I've also been liking wearing my glasses lately, I'm usually in contacts but it's been nice giving my eyes a break. I'm not entirely sure they suit me though!

Oh my God, this baby bird! Basically it fell out of a tree in our garden and because Freddydog is evil he chased it and it fell into the drain. My stepdad managed to get it out and my mum warmed it up because it was freezing, poor thing! It was so young it didn't have any feathers on it's belly, it was so cute. We left it on the decking and went inside to see if it's mum would come and get it but eventually it ran away under next door's fence which is where we hope it came from because they have baby birds in their garden. I so hope it found it's mama, it's silly but I haven't stopped thinking about it!

And here is the little bully, looking like butter wouldn't melt. He's so sweet and cuddly to humans but can be mean to other animals which is not how I raised him! When he's like that he just reminds me of the evil robot dog in Wallace and Gromit haha. But he's forgiven, because he's just my lil' Freddy Boo Boo!

Hope you had a lovely week!

Josie x

  23. Aw what a poor baby bird :( but Freddy didn't know any better, it's not really his (or your) fault, just in his genetics to want to chase birds I suppose! Well done for your Etsy achievements, and I love the blue jeans and white shirt outfit sooo much xx

He's just like my Chanel. She's the same except once she went too far with a bird. Things were weird between us for a while. I didn't know how to be around her after that because I certainly taught her better than that. It was horrifying to say the least. I just make sure she's never in a situation where she can actually get her paws near a bird again because I don't think I could handle that a second time round.

  30. You have such a knack for capturing pretty, perfect moments Josie! This beautiful set are proof of this (:

I'm so sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well, and I know I've said this before but I admire your faultless and encouraging attitude in finding positives amongst the negatives so much <3

Really glad you had lots of lovely moments during the week too, how adorable is that little baby bird? Aww! The picture of you wearing your specs is so stylish, one I can imagine seeing in a stylish mag! Wearing contacts can definitely get a bit exhaustive, a break can be so refreshing for the eyes haha! And your five year journal looks like a real must have, I'm so useless at keeping mine up regardless of promising myself I will!

  31. Dude, the specs look ace. I love the shape on you. I've had mine a long old time now, and loved them at first, but since changing from blonde to brunette, I'm not feeling them as much now. Weird, non?

Anyways, hope you're feeling alright. Keep up the positivity, petal : )

Oh and MASSIVE congratulations on how well your etsy store is doing. I LOVE your work, can't wait to see how it grows further!! I'm so envious. I'm really over thinking mine. To the point of hesitating before actually listing anything. Whats with that?! Silly self consciousness.
