FRIYAY #1 | Bath Time

Friyay indeed because today I finish IVs, which means one thing and one thing only....that post-IVs bath! Other people who've been on IVs will understand what I'm on about but if you're a little confused it's just that when I'm on them I can't get the dressing wet which means rubbish, tiny baths and awkward rain dances in the shower trying to keep it dry. There's nothing I love more then stealing ALL the hot water and having a proper relaxing soak in the bath so after three weeks of IVs I am pretty excited. I always think about what my dream bath would be, I'd like that one in Harry Potter where it never gets cold, NO bubble bath or bath bombs (am I the only blogger who can't stand all that?) a pillow for my head and a TV on the wall with a whole lot of Aesop goodies to use. Plus chocolates. And it can look like any one of these:

Or like Katy's bathroom, it's so adorable! Don't want much do I? Sorry, you're probably like 'Why am I reading about baths?' I just love them. But I bet you any money when the time comes I'll be so not in the mood or be in a rush because Corrie will be starting (my Friday nights are wild) so I end up having a quick shower.

Are you a bath fiend too? What would be your dream bathroom?

  1. Happy bath day! I'm a total bath fiend- when I move out the place HAS to have a bath or I'm not going!

  2. I adore baths, and my bathing... philosophies? habits? are so similar to yours. I too don't go in for the fripperies of bubble bath & whatnot, though I'll usually chuck in epsom salts because they have proper health benefits. However I also often spend whole days fantasising about my bath, only too be too tired or just not bothered and find myself jumping into a quick shower instead. I'd so LOVE a claw foot tub but my mother, ever the realist, always says "but it would get so dirty and dusty under it because it's such an awkward space to clean!" Sigh!

  3. Wonderful inspiration and yes, do enjoy the bath soak with drops of essential oils and bath salts. I love a nice hot bath! My favourite is claw foot tubs! Have a nice weekend.

  10. oh mah lawd that bathtub with the dark grouted tiles - dream bathroom! it does have to be bubbly though, or at least nicely scented. i'd totally watch telly or read a book but i always end up falling asleep which is both dangerous and absolutely amazing at the same time haha

  11. that bathtub with the dark ground tiles - so perfect! it does have to be bubbly though, or at least nicely scented. plus there always has to be a face and hair mask involved. i would totally read books or watch tv, but i fall asleep so easily in the bath which is both dangerous and totally awesome at the same time haha

  15. I love a good bath, nothing beats a bubble bath for me. I'm still yet to find a bath product that actually produces shit loads of bubbles; but I need it in my life, where ever it is. The thought of having a TV in the bathroom sounds pretty good, too. I'd be in there for hours! x

  20. As someone who loves their bath this would seriously suck. Make sure you make it a good one, lots of bubbles, a magazine or book, bath pillow and have a serious soak. Enjoy it Lucy x

  23. That last baby blue bath is gorgeous! I officially now want that as a bathroom. I don't have a bath at my house in Leeds, so when I go home I normally have a really long bubble bath and put a film on :)

  24. YAY, even I feel happy for you just reading this! I love baths too but just never seem to have the time for them. I'm not into any kinds of bath bombs either although I do love a good bubble bath! All of the photos you have posted are gorgeous, makes me want to move out and get my own place but I can not afford such a lovely bathroom! xx
