LIFESTYLE | Getting Back Into Blogging

So I think I need a bit of a kick up the bum when it comes to getting my blogging act together! In all honesty I was getting a little fed up with it, I mean I have had this thing for about three years I think and I do kind of wish I could start all over again with something brand new. But this here blog holds many memories so I want to carry it on, so I think I might have a play around with a new blog design or something. I'd like a new header I think, but we shall see! I'm going to aim, health permitting, to post 3-4 times a week from now on and I'm starting that by getting a bit more organised (look above see, I bought a diary!) Any tips on staying organised and inspired would be fab!

One last thing, is there anything in particular you'd like to see more of? Or less of?

  3. Yay! A simple blog re-design can really bring the spark back. I get restless and bored really easily so I'm an old pro and giving my online spaces a "new coat of paint" really helps me stay on track.
In terms of organisation, I'm pretty terrible, but I've started writing posts in advance and scheduling them. I used to write posts when I felt I needed/wanted to post something new, but health really limits that, and I think that approach was limiting my creativity too! I find now that I can often sit down one day a week when I feel all right and write 3+ posts at once (which is a week's worth for me). The photographs might take a few more days to get around to (or I might take photographs first, whichever), but things are a lot more streamlined now! I think my posts are better quality because of it as well. Plus I keep a calendar so I can see everything I have to do in relation to Uni and my (limited) social life.
Phew! That seems like a huge chunk of text! But that's how I do it anyway, it may or may not be useful to you haha. x

  9. I wish I could give you some advice on staying organized, but I'm terrible. I just post when i can, but I would love to have more of a plan with it - Maybe when I get some free time, I should schedule posts so I dont have to rush one out.
I would love to see more outfit posts, so I can steal your look :)

  10. When I'm feeling uninspired I normally head to pinterest, tumblr or avidly read all of the blogs that I love. Sometimes it takes a little bit more than that. I like your design but I like to change mine every now and then and that normally helps with inspiration as I want my posts to compliment the new look! Keeping a diary and planning in advance also helps. Your diary is so cute!

  11. Ah mate, can't say my blog is particularly organised (speak to Becky Bedbug about organisation!!) but splitting into categories - run, eat, train etc - really helps me. One, I don't blog the same thing over and over again, and two, if I need inspiration I just read or think around the idea. That might help you? I love your outfit posts and personal posts too!

  12. How about more crafting posts! I'm possibly a little biased but I really enjoy them! Posts on your Etsy business and what you're getting up to and any hints and tips - that type of thing :) xxx

  13. I think everyone feels like that about their blog at times. It's just so tempting to have a fresh start but I think a new layout and some thought about what you really want to be posting does help!

  15. To do lists are an excellent way of keeping track of everything, and I always schedule my posts in advance. I tend to do everything in bulk as much as I can (like taking photos) and it means my blog won't get neglected when I've got uni work and when life gets in the way! xx

  32. I also keep a diary which is a month to view style so it lets me down when I've posted and I can find time to work on my blog. I keep a notebook to write down ideas and plan out actual post so I find it easy.
