A Lazy Haircare Routine

I'm typically very much a 'wash and go' kind of person when it comes to my hair but lately I've realized that a little effort does go a long way. I like to keep things very natural and quite messy because quite frankly I don't have the skillz to do anything too fancy but I've found that these recent, easy additions to my hair care routine have made all the difference!

Tangle Teezer Thick And Curly review

Thick & Curly Tangle Teezer* | I usually just buy whatever shampoo and conditioner is on offer and has the best scent and condition first before washing because otherwise I think my hair can get a bit weighed down. Once it's towel dried I brush it through with a Tangle Teezer because they really are the best. I own four (I even bought one for the dog, no joke) and my latest is the Thick & Curly Brush* which is perfect for getting all the knots out of my hair, as it tends to get very knotty very quickly.

OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Oil | Then I spritz in a few sprays of this oil which I bought on a whim as it was a horrid rainy day and I wanted something that reminded me of summer! As you can imagine it smells gorgeous and I love that you can still smell it on my hair a day later - don't you think it's just the nicest thing when someone's hair smells nice? This keeps my hair curly without the frizz and also adds some much needed shine.

L'Oreal Elnett Hairspray | The oil works best when you blow dry your hair but we all know I'm too lazy for that so once it's air dried I spray a bit of Elnett (an oldie but a goodie) on my fingers and scrunch up my hair to add some texture and give it that messy, bedhead look. I like that it's non-sticky, holds well but brushes out easily and again, smells lovely.

So that's it! A couple of extra steps that take no time at all but make such a difference. I'd like to think my hairdresser would be proud I've established some kind of routine (we just won't tell her that I'm still cutting my own fringe...) What are your haircare secrets?
