FASHION | A Weirdly Perfect Weekend

Coat - Zara | Shirt - Uniqlo | Jumper - Primark | Trousers - H&M | Shoes - GAP | Earrings - ASOS

An outfit from last week, when I went to see Cuban Fury. My little cousin was supposed to come too but he didn't get in because it's a 15 and he's 11..I think haha. It's so dumb, a film full of violence can be a 12A but a few swear words makes it a 15. It wasn't very funny anyway. Hmph.

How was your weekend? Mine was perfect in a weird way, I'm enjoying having the house to myself because my parents are in Spain until Wednesday (alrite for some!) My brother is here but he doesn't count really because he's just been out the whole time. Saturday was fun because I met up with Sophie from soinspo who is just lovely and you should go and check out her blog immediately (and wish her a belated happy birthday haha!)  Sunday was rubbish because I'm ill again so couldn't go to work but weirdly enjoyable because I dusted my room haha. I also made a curry (from a jar, but it's been so long since I made a meal that didn't involve piercing a film lid!) I got over my fear of raw chicken, are you proud? Diced it up myself and everything!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself today, maybe I'll go to the shops to return a shirt I bought Saturday...I ended up making a small but cheeky purchase on Net-A-Porter last night (yep, I go wild when the 'rents are away) and if it's any good I don't think I can justify keeping the shirt too...or can I? Sshhhh, don't say anything - you are the worst enablers!

  2. Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I remember how weirdly wonderful it felt to have a house to yourself when I was younger. :) Love your coat, by the way. As for new wardrobe additions - wait and see how you feel about NAP parcel and then decide whether or not to return the shirt - if you really LOVE them both, just keep everything and enjoy them! x

  3. I had a really nice day last week where I cleaned my room as well! There's something so peaceful about having a freshly-dusted room, and doing it takes roughly 1 album-worth so it's fun to do whilst I'm listening to music. I love your outfit so much, especially those earrings aw! xx

  7. I love your hair colour Josie, it's such a gorgeous shade! Sometimes a good clean is so therapeutic I think, I love clearing out and tidying up. I always feel better when I know the room I'm in is clean and dust free. I'm very proud of you dealing with raw chicken haha I've not quite conquered that fear, I hope it was delicious! Ooer can't wait to see what you've purchased from Net-a-Porter - far too many tempting things on there for me to be browsing! Sounds like you had a lovely time with Sophie :) I always think how lovely it is when blogging brings people together in real life too xxx

  21. Aww bless you Josie, was so wonderful to meet you & what a lovely time we had! Here's to another shopping spree in the near future ;-) <3

I don't think I could ever get enough of this gorgeous coat *drools* plus it goes so well with your classic trews! Sucks that you're not feeling well, so sorry to hear that hun, here's to a speedy recovery and I think a net-a-porter treat was very much deserved on your part, when the folks are away and all that!

  22. I love those days where you don't really do anything particularly exciting but it just feels like you've had a nice day, I had one of those last week when I had a good clean up (why is cleaning becoming so much more enjoyable to me recently?! I'm turning into my mum!), took Nico for a long walk & had a little read. Nothing exciting but I went to bed feeling like I'd had a really nice day! Hah. Sad to hear you're ill again though, hope you're feeling a little better soon!
